The day has finally come for Rick, Eliana, and I to announce with joy:
Eliana is going to be a big sister!
That’s right! A big sister.
Rick and I are expecting Baby Wyse #2 at the beginning of April, 2014.
Two babies, 15 1/2 months apart (according to my due date). And we couldn’t be happier.
I’m relieved to share with those of you who remember my last pregnancy that so far this one has been significantly easier. Baby Wyse #2 has blessed me with a gentle start to his or her life.
“Sing, O barren!
Break forth into singing, and cry aloud,
You who have not labored with child.
For more are the children of the desolate
Than the children of the married woman,”
Declares the Lord.
Please, please, please… Let me encourage those of you who wait for God to fulfill His promises to you! I was alone, afraid, time was running out, and I couldn’t make anything happen for myself in spite of all my attempts. And then, within three years, God opened the windows of heaven and poured out a blessing so rich that I can hardly contain it all.
A godly husband.
A home to call my own.
Dreams I can’t even share, come true.
If you’re waiting for something also – a spouse, a child, salvation of a loved one, that long overdue promotion, a little recognition, to be told he’s proud of you, a book deal, a break through, a financial miracle, a job, healing… Wait for the Lord. He will take care of you too.
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord,
And He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your ways to the Lord;
Trust Him and He will act.

I really enjoy reading this book throughout my pregnancies. It’s a fun way to keep up with what’s happening:
